Farwell is a small village in central Michigan. The village is positioned in Clare County and located about 90 miles north of Lansing, the capital of Michigan. In 1870, modern-day Farwell became founded, and about a year later, the village became platted. As of 2017, modern-day Farwell is home to a population of approximately 865 people, according to a U.S. Census Bureau report. Today, Farwell is the only village in Clare County, Michigan.
